Let’s Celebrate Women's History Month Join us at the Military Women’s Memorial March 3rd at 2:00 PM as we kick-off March with Me Women’s History Month 2024 with “Honoring Her Voice,” a special musical performance by The U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own" chamber players. Arranged specially for Women’s History Month, the performance will showcase a wide variety of styles and pieces by living female composers. The event promises to have something for everyone - folk-tunes, Latin American, Afro-Cuban, contemporary classical composers and more. In keeping with Women’s History Month and “Honoring Her Voice,” the ensemble is composed primarily of female musicians and includes vocals, woodwinds, brass, and strings. It is a privilege to welcome these world-class musicians to the Military Women’s Memorial for this special Women’s History Month event.*Guests are encouraged to arrive early for a 1:00 PM screening of “The Hello Girls” documentary (30 minutes).Following the concert, guests are invited to join us for our March With Me Open House where they can enjoy viewing seldom seen artifacts from the Memorial archive, including an original sketch by Norman Rockwell, watch films about women in the military in the Vaught Center, register their stories of military service, and participate in MWM's Adopt A Woman Veteran project.Refreshments will be served.
